At MOUTHPEACE MEDIATION LLC, we provide services and solutions for workplace conflict and disputes, and workplace anger and stress.
Conflict in the workplace is costly. Stress increases, productivity goes down. Absenteeism rises. The entire workplace suffers as good employees leave and morale deteriorates. The cost to hire and train new employees is substantial. In one study, 85 percent of employees surveyed said they deal with conflict at work.
Our services provide an opportunity for companies to deal with conflicts,disputes and anger that arise in the workplace.
MEDIATION. The parties meet with an outside neutral trained mediator to negotiate a resolution to a specific conflict between two or more employees that leaves employees individually empowered and that strengthens working relationships. We use a combination of facilitative and transformative mediation skills.
Mediation is impartial, confidential and voluntary. Mediation saves time and expense.
With mediation, the parties create their own solution. Because they do so, mediated resolutions work better and last longer. Each party leaves having been heard and invested in the solution.
ANGER MANAGEMENT. We will meet with people in the workplace individually to get a history of the relationship or relationships, as conflict often spreads over time, potentially resulting in a hostile work environment. Many times, the anger is due to personality conflicts. It may also be due to specific policies or perceptions of mistreatment by co-workers or management.
CONFLICT MANAGEMENT. We also provide in-house workshops where we discuss specific communication skills including conflict resolution skills and body language.
The results speak for themselves. Workplaces that use mediation become more collaborative and team oriented. Morale is higher and employees learn to deal with the conflict that inevitably occurs in the workplace.
